McLaughlin is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department. She teaches General Chemistry, Protein Chemistry, and Biochemistry. While a Professor of Practice in the Department of Biological Sciences. Dr McLaughlin started a high school outreach program called PA DNA Day. Prior to Lehigh, Dr. McLaughlin worked as a postdoc in the Redinbo Lab. And also received pedagogy training as a scholar in the SPIRE.
